Darke County Living with Multiple Sclerosis Support Group
I had the privilege of speaking at the Darke County Living with MS Support Group on Tuesday, March 26th. They meet on the 4th Tuesday of every month from 7pm-8:30pm, located in the private dining room in the Brethren Retirement Community. We discussed yoga, mindfulness and Thai Yoga Massage. I shared some research on yoga and mindfulness directly related to Multiple Sclerosis. The presentation was well recieved.

Relax & Renew Event
Saturday, March 30th, Om Your Day collaborated with Blue Lantern Tea House and Miller Flower's Florist & Greenhouse to create a truly unique event. The participants were divided into two small groups. One group learned a chair yoga sequence that can be done sitting on the side of your bed and only takes about 10 minutes. A great way to start the day feeling renewed. Then, they moved to the floor to relax in a restorative yoga pose for 10 minutes as well. Something I encouraged the participants to try in the evening to feel relaxed before going to bed.
The other group spent their 20 minutes with Caitlin Miller of Miller Flower's. She walked them through making their own floral arrangements and discussed how flowers can help us feel relaxed and renewed. The two groups switched stations. After they finished with yoga and floral arrangements, they came together to learn about the rare teas provided at the Blue Lantern Tea House. Participants chose from four of the teas introduced by Jesse Berry, owner of the Blue Lantern Tea House. Everyone received a small pot of their choice of tea, an essential oil sample used in their yoga session and a floral arrangement potted in unique oriental tea cups!
The event was such a success that we decided to have another event in the late summer with the addition of an essential oil expert and a rock balancer/earth artist. If you missed out on this event, please stay tuned in for the next!
